Indian Railways Upgrades 23,000 km of Tracks for 130 km/h Speeds

Indian Railways has successfully upgraded over 23,000 km of railway tracks to support train speeds of up to 130 km per hour. This modernization effort is part of the government’s initiative to improve rail infrastructure, enhance safety, and reduce travel time across key routes.

The upgrades include track strengthening, signaling improvements, and the elimination of speed restrictions at critical sections. This development benefits both passenger and freight trains, ensuring smoother and faster journeys. The move aligns with the vision of transforming Indian Railways into a more efficient and high-speed transport network.

With continued investments in rail infrastructure, Indian Railways aims to further increase train speeds and enhance connectivity across the country.
