  Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge has defended Rahul Gandhi's recent comments about the state of democracy in India, saying that there is "no question of apology" for his remarks. Gandhi sparked controversy with his statement that "the whole world is mocking India" for its supposed lack of democracy. The comments were made during a virtual interaction with students from the University of Chicago on March 11th.
