  The Uttar Pradesh government has announced plans to invest over ₹10,700 crore to develop India’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) city in Lucknow.  The ambitious project aims to position the state as a national hub for cutting-edge technology, research, and innovation. The AI city will house advanced data centers, startup incubators, and research facilities, attracting global tech firms and fostering employment opportunities in the AI and digital sectors.

  Production of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile is set to commence soon at a new manufacturing unit in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The facility, being developed with an investment of ₹300 crore, marks a significant step in boosting India’s defence manufacturing capabilities under the “Make in India” initiative. The Lucknow node of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor will host the unit, which is expected to produce next-generation versions of the BrahMos missile. The project is a joint venture between India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russia’s NPO Mashinostroyeniya. Once operational, the facility will create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs and play a crucial role in meeting domestic defence requirements and potential exports.
