  India has unveiled a  $680 million infrastructure and aid package for Mauritius , further strengthening its deep strategic and cultural ties with the island nation. The package includes  funding for major infrastructure projects , support for  affordable housing, renewable energy, healthcare, and digital initiatives , along with concessional credit lines to boost Mauritius’ development. Mauritius welcomed the announcement, calling it a “milestone in bilateral relations” that will enhance connectivity, trade, and people-to-people exchanges. The initiative comes as both nations continue to cooperate on  maritime security, economic resilience, and cultural partnerships
