The Vande Bharat Express was en route to Delhi from Visakhapatnam when unidentified miscreants pelted the train with stones near the Simhachalam railway station. The incident caused damage to the train's windowpanes and resulted in a delay of over an hour. This is not the first time that the Vande Bharat Express has been targeted by stone-pelters.
