Tata Electronics to Expand Semiconductor Production with Two New Plants in Dholera, Gujarat

 


Tata Electronics has announced plans to build two additional semiconductor manufacturing plants in Dholera, Gujarat. This move significantly boosts the company’s commitment to the semiconductor industry, following their initial investment of ₹91,000 crore for the first plant in the region.

The scale of investment for each new facility is projected to be on par with the first, reflecting Tata Electronics' strategic focus on scaling up semiconductor production to meet growing global demand. This expansion is poised to reinforce India’s position in the global semiconductor supply chain and contribute to the region's economic development.

The new plants are expected to create thousands of jobs and foster advancements in semiconductor technology, aligning with the Indian government’s push to make the country a key player in the global electronics market. The Dholera Special Investment Region, chosen for its infrastructure and strategic location, will serve as a hub for high-tech manufacturing, driving innovation and growth in the semiconductor sector.
