Starbucks is Planning Aggressive Expansion of Its Store Count in India

Starbucks is set to significantly increase its presence in India, marking a major push in one of the world’s fastest-growing consumer markets. The global coffee giant currently operates 487 stores across the country through its joint venture with Tata Consumer Products.

With growing demand for premium coffee and café experiences among India’s expanding middle class, Starbucks sees strong potential for further growth. The company aims to reach more cities and expand in tier-2 and tier-3 markets, where consumer interest in international food and beverage brands is on the rise.

This aggressive expansion aligns with Starbucks’ broader global strategy to tap into emerging markets, and India remains a key focus. As competition in the café space heats up, Starbucks is betting on deeper localization and innovative offerings to win over Indian consumers.
