India’s First Hydrogen Train Set Expected by March 31, 2025

India is set to achieve a major milestone in green transportation with the rollout of its first hydrogen-powered train by March 31, 2025. This initiative is part of the Indian Railways' push toward sustainable and eco-friendly mobility solutions.

The hydrogen train, designed to operate with zero carbon emissions, will significantly reduce dependence on fossil fuels and contribute to a cleaner environment. It is expected to run on heritage routes like the Kalka-Shimla and other scenic railway lines before being deployed on broader networks.

This project aligns with India's commitment to green energy and marks a step toward modernizing railway transport with cutting-edge technology. If successful, hydrogen trains could revolutionize India's rail network, reducing pollution and enhancing energy efficiency.
