Indian Government to Introduce Annual and Lifetime Toll Passes for Highways

The Indian government is planning to introduce an ‘annual toll pass’ for ₹3,000, allowing unlimited highway travel for a year. Additionally, a ‘lifetime pass’ will be available for ₹30,000, offering unrestricted access for 15 years.

This move aims to simplify toll payments, reduce congestion at toll plazas, and promote seamless travel across national highways. The initiative is expected to benefit frequent travelers, transporters, and daily commuters by making toll payments more convenient and cost-effective.

If implemented, this policy could significantly enhance the ease of travel and boost road infrastructure efficiency across the country.
