UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs Engages in Arab Ministerial Meeting in Riyadh

 


Joining US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, recently participated in a crucial six-party Arab Ministerial Conference in Riyadh. Members of the representatives from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, and Palestine gathered on the outer edges of a special World Economic Forum meeting.

The dynamic Middle East surroundings, with an emphasis on the security and humanitarian aspects of the Gaza Strip crisis, was at the centre of the talks. The attending countries addressed how to prevent the violence from getting worse, find a long-term truce, and make sure that vital humanitarian supplies can reach Gaza's civilian population through safe routes.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasised in his speech the pressing issues confronting the Middle East and encouraged more regional and global cooperation to support the two-state solution-based comprehensive peace process.
