Bilateral Relations Between India and UAE Reach New Heights: Jaishankar

India and the UAE have significantly strengthened their bilateral relations, marking a new era of collaboration in various sectors, including fintech, renewable energy, infrastructure, and defense. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, during the inauguration of the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) campus in Dubai, emphasized that the ties between the two nations had reached unprecedented heights.

Jaishankar credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's landmark visit to the UAE in 2015 as a turning point in the relationship. Modi's visit, the first by an Indian prime minister in over a century, laid the foundation for deeper cooperation and was pivotal in establishing the Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreements between the countries. These agreements have been negotiated at record speed, further solidifying the partnership.

Highlighting the growing educational and cultural exchanges between India and the UAE, Jaishankar noted the opening of the Symbiosis campus in Dubai as a key development. This reflects the broader trend of increased collaboration in education, helping prepare India’s youth for the global workforce. Jaishankar pointed out that with advancements in technology, clean energy, and innovation, India must prioritize a modern education system that equips its citizens to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

The minister also expressed confidence that Symbiosis would replicate its high standards of education, providing students with the skills necessary for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. Through such initiatives, India and the UAE are poised to continue their journey of mutual growth, paving the way for an even stronger partnership in the future.
