ISRO to Launch ESA’s Proba-3 Mission from Sriharikota on December 4
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is set to launch the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Proba-3 mission from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on December 4, 2024. This collaboration marks another milestone in India’s growing prominence in global space exploration.
Proba-3 is a highly specialized mission aimed at demonstrating precision formation flying in space. The mission consists of two spacecraft working in tandem to perform advanced solar observations, including creating a space-based coronagraph. This technology will allow scientists to study the Sun’s outer atmosphere, or corona, with unprecedented clarity.
The launch reflects ISRO’s expertise and reliability as a partner in international space missions, showcasing India’s capabilities in delivering cutting-edge space technology and solutions to the global community.
