Andhra Govt Plans to Host 2028 National Games in Amaravati

The Andhra Pradesh government is making ambitious plans to host the 2028 National Games in Amaravati, the state's capital region. The move aims to boost sports infrastructure and promote the city as a key sporting hub in India.

Officials have proposed significant investments in stadiums, training facilities, and athlete accommodations to meet national standards. The government is also engaging with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to secure approval and ensure a successful bid.

Hosting the National Games would not only enhance Andhra Pradesh's sports culture but also generate economic and tourism benefits. If finalized, Amaravati could witness a grand sporting spectacle in 2028.
