Bengaluru to Get 9,000 New Electric Buses as State Focuses on Green Public Transport

Bengaluru is set to witness a major transformation in its public transport system with the addition of 9,000 new electric buses. This initiative aligns with Karnataka's push for sustainable mobility and aims to reduce pollution and carbon emissions in the city.

The introduction of these electric buses will enhance connectivity, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and offer a cleaner, quieter mode of transportation. The state government, in collaboration with transport agencies, plans to implement charging infrastructure and operational support to ensure a smooth transition.

With Bengaluru’s increasing traffic congestion and pollution concerns, this shift towards green transport is a significant step toward a cleaner and more sustainable urban future.
