Uttar Pradesh is set to witness a significant boost in its waterway infrastructure with a proposed 248 km-long water transport route on the Yamuna River. This ambitious plan aims to directly connect the Kanpur-Bundelkhand region to the confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna in Prayagraj, enhancing connectivity and trade opportunities.

The initiative is expected to improve transportation efficiency, reduce logistics costs, and promote eco-friendly movement of goods and passengers.
