The $15 Billion Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project Will Be Operational by 2028: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis

 


Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has confirmed that the ambitious $15 billion Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project will become operational by 2028. Speaking at a recent event, Fadnavis emphasized the government’s commitment to completing India’s first high-speed rail corridor on schedule.

The 508-kilometer project, a collaboration between India and Japan, promises to revolutionize travel between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, reducing travel time to just around two hours. Fadnavis highlighted that despite initial delays, construction work has significantly accelerated, and key milestones are being met.

Once completed, the bullet train is expected to boost regional connectivity, spur economic growth, and symbolize India’s technological advancement in the transportation sector.
