Mumbai’s First Underground Rail Line Planned

Mumbai is set to build its first underground rail line, stretching 7.4 kilometers from Parel to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). This ambitious project, estimated to cost ₹3,000 crore, aims to ease congestion on one of the city's busiest routes.

The underground corridor will enhance connectivity, reduce travel time, and mark a major step forward in Mumbai’s transportation infrastructure. Authorities are focusing on minimizing disruptions during construction, with completion expected within the next few years.
