Surat Set to Welcome India’s First Bullet Train Station

India’s first bullet train station, located in Surat, Gujarat, is now ready, marking a major milestone in the country’s ambitious high-speed rail project. Part of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor, the Surat station features advanced passenger facilities and is designed to handle high-speed rail operations.

Trial runs on this section are expected to begin in 2026, with full-scale commercial operations projected to commence by 2029. Once operational, the bullet train is set to significantly cut travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, enhancing connectivity and boosting economic growth in the region.
