Tata Electronics Begins iPhone Assembly in Tamil Nadu

Tata Electronics has officially started assembling iPhone models, including the upcoming iPhone 16 and iPhone 16e, at its state-of-the-art facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. This marks a significant step in India’s growing role in Apple’s global supply chain.

The move follows Apple's ongoing strategy to diversify its manufacturing base beyond China. Tata's entry into iPhone assembly also strengthens India’s position as a key electronics manufacturing hub. The Hosur facility, known for its precision manufacturing, is expected to ramp up production ahead of the iPhone 16 series launch later this year.
