Foxconn to Build iPhone Enclosure Plant in Tamil Nadu

 

Foxconn is set to expand its manufacturing footprint in India by establishing a new facility in Tamil Nadu dedicated to producing iPhone enclosures. This strategic move reinforces Apple’s growing reliance on India as a key production hub outside of China. 

The proposed unit will focus on the critical component of the iPhone’s outer casing, enhancing the local value addition in Apple’s supply chain. This investment is expected to generate employment opportunities and strengthen Tamil Nadu’s position as a major electronics manufacturing destination in India.
