Free Bus Travel for Women and ₹20,000 Aid for Farmers in Andhra Pradesh: Chandrababu Naidu
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced two major welfare schemes set to begin from August 15. Women in the state will be able to travel for free on government-run buses, a move aimed at enhancing mobility and reducing financial burdens on families.
In addition, the government will provide ₹20,000 annually to every farmer as direct financial support. This initiative is expected to help farmers manage cultivation costs and improve agricultural productivity.
These promises were part of Naidu's election campaign and signal a return to populist welfare programs. The schemes are anticipated to benefit lakhs of women and farmers across the state, reinforcing Naidu’s focus on inclusive development.
