India to Roll Out 1,000+ Hydrogen Buses and Trucks by 2030

India has announced a major green mobility initiative to deploy over 1,000 hydrogen-powered buses and trucks by 2030. The move aims to cut carbon emissions, reduce dependency on fossil fuels, and support the country’s net-zero goals. Backed by the National Green Hydrogen Mission, this plan is set to stimulate demand for clean fuel in the transport sector, with pilot projects beginning in key industrial hubs.

The government is also incentivizing hydrogen production and infrastructure development to ensure scalability and long-term viability of the program.
