JLR to Begin Vehicle Assembly in Tamil Nadu by 2026

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), a subsidiary of Tata Motors, has announced plans to start assembling its premium vehicles at a new facility in Tamil Nadu by early 2026. The move comes as part of a major investment plan, with JLR committing ₹9,000 crore over the next five years to establish and operate the plant.

This expansion aligns with the company's broader strategy to increase local manufacturing capabilities and meet the rising demand for luxury vehicles in India. The Tamil Nadu government has welcomed the investment, which is expected to generate significant employment and boost the state's auto sector.
