Indian Railways Targets 1,000 New Trains, Bullet Services by 2027

 


In a bold move to transform the country’s transport infrastructure, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that Indian Railways plans to introduce 1,000 new trains over the next five years. This expansion aims to significantly enhance connectivity and passenger capacity across the nation.

 Additionally, the much-anticipated bullet train project is expected to begin operations by 2027, marking a major milestone in India’s journey toward high-speed rail travel. These initiatives reflect the government’s vision to modernize railways and provide faster, safer, and more efficient travel options for millions.
