Elon Musk’s satellite internet venture, Starlink, has received the long-awaited approval from the Indian government to operate in the country. This clearance will allow Starlink to offer high-speed satellite-based internet services, particularly targeting remote and underserved regions.

The approval comes after months of regulatory discussions and aligns with India’s vision to expand digital connectivity across rural and hard-to-reach areas. With this green light, Starlink joins the race alongside other global players eyeing India’s vast internet market. Commercial rollout is expected to follow spectrum allocation and necessary infrastructure deployment.
