India Bids to Host 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad

The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the submission of India’s official bid to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games. Ahmedabad has been proposed as the host city, with world-class infrastructure and upcoming sports facilities positioned to support the global sporting event.

If successful, this would mark India’s second time hosting the Games, the first being in New Delhi in 2010. The move reflects India’s growing ambition to strengthen its presence on the international sporting stage and promote Gujarat as a major hub for global events.
