Maharashtra Govt Announces Aid for Bhajani Mandals Ahead of Ganesh Festival

 

The Maharashtra government has decided to provide financial assistance of ₹25,000 each to 1,800 bhajani mandals (traditional devotional music groups) across the state ahead of the Ganesh festival. 

The move aims to support these cultural groups, which play a significant role during the celebrations by performing devotional songs and enhancing the festive spirit. Officials said the initiative will help preserve cultural traditions while offering financial relief to artists who contribute to the grandeur of the Ganeshotsav.
