Mumbai to get 238 metro-style AC Locals with cushioned seats, faster speeds

 


Mumbai’s daily commute is set for a major upgrade as the city will soon get 238 new metro-style AC local trains. These modern rakes will feature cushioned seating, wider doors, better ventilation, and faster acceleration, promising a smoother and more comfortable travel experience for millions of Mumbaikars. 

Unlike the current AC locals, the new design draws inspiration from metro systems, offering improved interiors and reduced travel time. With this addition, Mumbai aims to ease crowding on suburban routes while making local travel more reliable, efficient, and passenger-friendly.
