The UAE’s Key Role in the Armenia–Azerbaijan Peace Agreement

On August 12, 2025, the U.S. mission in the UAE commended His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for hosting and facilitating earlier talks in Abu Dhabi between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan—efforts that played a pivotal role in advancing the peace process. The mission congratulated both nations on signing a historic peace agreement at the White House, mediated by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

These diplomatic milestones highlight the UAE’s commitment to fostering peace and stability, working in close partnership with the United States. By providing a neutral platform for dialogue and leveraging its trusted international standing, the UAE has reinforced its image as a dependable mediator in regional conflicts. This collaboration underscores the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed in positioning the UAE as a bridge of peace and a model for global diplomacy.
