UP’s First Green Hydrogen Plant Inaugurated in Gorakhpur

Uttar Pradesh has taken a major step towards clean energy with the inauguration of its first Green Hydrogen Plant in Gorakhpur, making it only the second such facility in India. The plant aims to produce green hydrogen using renewable energy, significantly reducing carbon emissions and supporting India’s push for sustainable fuel alternatives.

Officials highlighted that the project will not only boost local industrial growth but also contribute to the national goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2070. This marks a milestone in India’s transition towards a greener energy ecosystem.
