Bhutan, Adani Power Ink Pact for 570 MW Hydropower Project

Bhutan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adani Power to develop a 570 MW hydropower plant in the country, marking a significant boost to regional energy cooperation. The project, aimed at enhancing Bhutan’s renewable energy capacity, is expected to be completed within five years.

Leveraging the expertise of Indian companies in large-scale hydro projects, the initiative will not only strengthen Bhutan’s clean energy portfolio but also deepen cross-border collaboration with India in the power sector.
