Gautam Solar to Invest ₹4,000 Crore in 5 GW Solar Cell Plant in Gwalior

 


Delhi-based Gautam Solar has announced a major investment of ₹4,000 crore to establish a state-of-the-art 5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. 

The project aims to boost India’s domestic solar manufacturing capacity and reduce dependence on imports, aligning with the government’s renewable energy push. Once operational, the facility is expected to generate significant local employment and contribute to India’s target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based power capacity by 2030.
