Keolis to Operate Pune Metro’s Hinjawadi–Shivajinagar Line by 2026

French transport operator Keolis has been awarded the contract to run and maintain the Pune Metro’s Hinjawadi–Shivajinagar corridor, a key route aimed at easing daily commutes between the IT hub and the city center. The 23.3 km elevated corridor, being developed under a public-private partnership, is expected to handle thousands of passengers daily and reduce traffic congestion along one of Pune’s busiest stretches. Services are likely to begin by March 2026, marking a significant milestone in the city’s expanding metro network and strengthening Pune’s push toward modern, sustainable urban mobility.
