Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated India’s largest Greenfield airport project — the Navi Mumbai International Airport — marking a major milestone in the country’s aviation infrastructure. Built at a cost of ₹19,650 crore, the state-of-the-art airport is designed to ease congestion at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and boost regional connectivity. Equipped with advanced sustainability features, including solar power generation and rainwater harvesting systems, the project reflects India’s commitment to green growth and modern infrastructure development. The airport is expected to handle millions of passengers annually, positioning Navi Mumbai as a key aviation and business hub for the future.
