Andhra Mandapam: Piyush Goyal Proposes World-Class Convention Centre in Visakhapatnam

 


Union Minister Piyush Goyal has proposed the establishment of a world-class convention centre, “Andhra Mandapam,” in Visakhapatnam, inspired by Delhi’s iconic Bharat Mandapam. The project aims to position the coastal city as a premier global destination for conferences, exhibitions, and major international events. Envisioned with state-of-the-art facilities and modern infrastructure, Andhra Mandapam is expected to boost tourism, attract large-scale business gatherings, and support Andhra Pradesh’s growing economic ambitions. The proposal also reflects the Centre’s push to develop Visakhapatnam as a major urban and commercial hub in the region.
