India's Largest Steel Plant to Rise in Andhra Pradesh with ₹80,000 Crore Investment

 


In a major boost to India’s industrial landscape, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel (AM/NS) has announced plans to establish the country’s largest steel plant in Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh. The massive project, involving an investment of ₹80,000 crore, underscores India’s growing prominence in global steel production. 

The plant is expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities while enhancing domestic steel output and infrastructure development. Once operational, the facility will position Andhra Pradesh as a key hub for advanced steel manufacturing, strengthening India’s “Make in India” and industrial self-reliance goals.
