Google's Mega AI Hub Gets Green Light in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh has officially approved the transfer of 480 acres of land in Visakhapatnam for Google’s upcoming AI data centre — a major step toward positioning the state as a global technology hub. The vast facility is expected to support advanced AI computing, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale data processing, significantly boosting India’s digital capabilities.

State officials say the project will attract further tech investments, create high-skilled jobs, and strengthen Vizag’s growing profile as a major IT destination. The decision marks one of the largest land allocations for a tech project in the region and signals Andhra Pradesh’s intent to become a key player in the global AI ecosystem.
