Maharashtra to Build Asia's Largest Global Capacity Center

 


The Maharashtra government, in collaboration with Brookfield Corporation, has announced plans to develop Asia’s largest Global Capacity Center with an investment exceeding $1 billion. The landmark project aims to strengthen the state’s position as a global hub for technology, innovation, and high-value services.

The proposed center will focus on advanced digital capabilities, research and development, and global business operations, creating thousands of skilled employment opportunities. It is expected to attract leading multinational companies and further enhance Maharashtra’s ecosystem for global enterprises.

Officials said the initiative reflects the state’s commitment to boosting foreign investment, infrastructure development, and economic growth, while reinforcing India’s role in global value chains.
