Microsoft’s Nadella Commits $17.5 Billion to India’s AI-First Future

 


Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked him for an “inspiring conversation on India’s AI opportunity,” reaffirming the company’s strong commitment to India’s digital transformation. 

During the meeting, Nadella announced a massive US$17.5 billion investment aimed at accelerating India’s AI-first future, expanding cloud and AI infrastructure, and supporting talent development. The renewed partnership signals a major boost for India’s tech ecosystem as the country positions itself at the forefront of global AI innovation.
