UP's First Semiconductor Unit Takes Shape in Noida

Uttar Pradesh is set to enter India’s semiconductor manufacturing landscape as the HCL–Foxconn joint venture prepares to break ground on the state’s first semiconductor unit in Noida in January 2026.

The project marks a major milestone for UP’s industrial growth and aligns with India’s broader push to strengthen domestic chip manufacturing. Once operational, the facility is expected to boost high-tech employment, attract allied industries, and position Noida as a key hub in the country’s electronics and semiconductor ecosystem.
