India and the United Arab Emirates are significantly deepening their strategic partnership in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, reinforcing a shared vision of technology-driven economic growth. With supercomputing infrastructure, expanded data centres, Web3 collaboration, and a wide-ranging Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the India–UAE relationship is emerging as a powerful global model for responsible and innovation-led digital transformation.
For India, this partnership supports national priorities under the India AI Mission, while for the UAE, it strengthens its position as a global and regional leader in artificial intelligence and future technologies.
Supercomputing and Data Infrastructure: Powering India’s AI Mission
A key pillar of the cooperation is the establishment of a supercomputing cluster and the expansion of data centre capacity through partnerships such as C-DAC and UAE-based G42. These initiatives will support high-performance computing needs critical for AI model development, scientific research, climate studies, healthcare innovation, and industrial applications.
For Indian researchers, startups, and public institutions, access to advanced computing infrastructure enhances the ability to build sovereign AI capabilities, process large datasets, and accelerate innovation at scale. This collaboration aligns closely with India’s ambition to become a global AI powerhouse while ensuring data security, resilience, and technological self-reliance.
UAE–India Web3 & AI Business Corridor: A New Innovation Bridge
The launch of the UAE–India Web3 & AI Business Corridor by the India Blockchain Alliance and TheBlock marks another milestone. The corridor aims to promote cross-border innovation in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, blockchain, and digital assets, unlocking new economic opportunities for startups, enterprises, and investors.
This initiative enables Indian innovators to access UAE’s advanced regulatory frameworks, capital networks, and global markets, while UAE companies benefit from India’s deep technology talent pool and rapidly growing digital economy.
MoU Signed in Abu Dhabi Strengthens Industrial and Tech Cooperation
On Thursday in Abu Dhabi, India and the UAE signed a Memorandum of Understanding to Promote Investment and Cooperation in Industry and Advanced Technologies, reaffirming their long-term commitment to economic and technological collaboration.
The MoU focuses on seven strategic areas:
-
Supply chain resilience
-
Renewable energy and energy efficiency
-
Health and life sciences
-
Space systems
-
Artificial intelligence
-
Industry 4.0 and advanced manufacturing
-
Standardization and metrology
To strengthen supply chains, both nations will identify opportunities for raw material security and share best practices in industrial incentives and enablement frameworks.
Collaboration in Energy, Healthcare and Space
In the energy sector, India and the UAE will work together on energy storage technologies, smart grid deployment, and renewable energy research and development, supporting global climate goals and energy security.
Healthcare and life sciences cooperation will focus on pharmaceutical development, biotechnology applications, and joint R&D, improving healthcare outcomes while expanding innovation-led manufacturing.
Space systems collaboration further enhances strategic trust, opening pathways for joint research, satellite technologies, and advanced industrial capabilities.
UAE’s Global Leadership in Artificial Intelligence
The UAE has firmly established itself as a global leader in artificial intelligence through proactive policies, strategic investments, flexible legislation, and world-class digital infrastructure. AI plays a central role in the country’s economic transformation, government efficiency, and global competitiveness.
Notably, the UAE leads globally with 97% AI utilization across government entities, significantly improving service delivery, operational efficiency, and innovation outcomes. Initiatives such as the UAE AI Strategy 2031 reflect a long-term commitment to embedding AI across sectors while ensuring ethical, human-centric deployment.
