Noida International Airport to Inaugurate in October 2025

  The Noida International Airport at Jewar, Greater Noida, is expected to be inaugurated in October 2025, marking a major boost for air connectivity in the Delhi-NCR region. According to officials, flyers using the upcoming airport will have to pay a user development fee ranging from ₹210 to ₹980 , depending on the flight route and class of travel. The fee structure has been finalized in consultation with the Airport Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA). The airport is being developed as a world-class facility with sustainable design features, and once operational, it is expected to ease congestion at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport while also promoting regional economic growth.

India, Japan cooperation is crucial for global peace and stability: PM Modi

  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (August 29, 2025) emphasized that the India-Japan partnership is vital for ensuring global peace and stability. Addressing the India-Japan Joint Economic Forum in Tokyo, he said, “From Metro to manufacturing, from semiconductors to start-ups, India-Japan partnership in every sector became a symbol of mutual trust.” PM Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Japan, held summit talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba to deepen cooperation in trade, investment, and emerging technologies. The leaders will release a joint statement along with the “2035 Vision Statement” , upgrading the 2025 roadmap adopted by Mr. Modi and former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Former Japanese Prime Ministers Yoshihide Suga and Fumio Kishida also called on Mr. Modi during the visit. The meeting marks 20 years since the first India-Japan annual summit in 2005 between Junichiro Koizumi and Manmohan Singh.
